• Security know-how. We have built a security laboratory for one of the largest universities in Romania, to teach students how to identify vulnerabilities. For the first time in Romania, we have developed a curriculum for the "Information Security" discipline and we have trained over 168 students, and a number of teachers.
• We have developed the "Train the Trainers" program for teacher training. Our plans are to extend security programs to other universities in Romania and abroad.
Colleges and universities are not immune to security breaches. In fact, they face unique challenges that make them vulnerable to hacker attacks and data leaks, because the information needs to be secure, but also available anytime and anywhere, from many possible devices, be they located in a classroom, at home or on the road. They also require (online) collaboration for distance learning, moving from books to digital courses, podcasting and open source e-learning systems. With access to information, vulnerabilities also occur.
Safetech provides security solutions for the adequate protection of sensitive information against theft, loss and cyber attacks, security training courses and specialized security training workshops.
Students grow up with technology, but that does not mean they know how to protect themselves against risks. In the past, technology was not been used so intensely, and as a result, students have had little or no access to people from whom they learn how to avoid vulnerabilities. Not even parents and teachers can help regarding this, therefore educators and teachers need to specialize in this area.
